The Faculty of Islamic Sciences welcomes the delegation from Institut Agama Islam Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas, Republic of Indonesia, on their visit to discuss academic collaboration
On June 6th, 2024, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences graciously welcomed delegations from Institut Agama Islam Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas, The Republic of Indonesia, led by DR. H. ARNADI, M.PD, the esteemed Rector of the institute. The delegation, comprising faculty members, staff, and students, engaged in fruitful discussions aimed at fostering academic collaboration and knowledge exchange in the realm of teaching and learning.
During the visit, emphasis was placed on exploring avenues for collaboration, with particular attention to enhancing academic ties. In this spirit, the Dean extended a cordial invitation to Institut Agama Islam Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas to partake in the forthcoming 13th International Conference on Islam in the Malay World 2024 (ICON-IMAD), scheduled for July 29-31, 2024. Additionally, the delegation was invited to enrol students in the mini SEED 2024 program scheduled for August. The institute graciously accepted this invitation, demonstrating their commitment to academic enrichment and international engagement. Furthermore, they expressed their keen interest in future collaborative endeavours, affirming their willingness to contribute faculty members and students to participate in forthcoming activities organized by the Faculty of Islamic Studies.
The visit culminated in a comprehensive tour of the university premises facilitated by electric car, providing the delegation with firsthand exposure to our state-of-the-art facilities and vibrant learning environment. Highlights of the tour included visits to various initiatives overseen by the faculty, including the Islamic Studies Demonstration School, the Arabic Language Testing Center, the Quran/Thadika teaching program, and the faculty-managed daycare center. The delegation was notably impressed by these initiatives and expressed a keen interest in adopting and adapting similar management models for their own institutional development.
