FaIS Organizes OPOU Short-Term Student Exchange Program and Strengthens Academic Collaboration with Sultan Azlan Shah University
Asst. Prof. Dr. Yuthana Kuakul, Assistant Dean for International Relations and Academic Services, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Kate Asmimana, Head of the Bachelor of Arts, Islamic Studies (International Program), and faculty members from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences (FaIS), Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led a group of students from the Islamic Studies (International Program), FaIS, and students from Arabic Business Language from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, PSU to participate in a short-term student exchange program at Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS), Perak State, Malaysia, from January 5 to 10, 2025. The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Wan Sabri Bin Wan Yusof, Vice Chancellor of USAS, who presided over the opening ceremony.
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of USAS expressed the intention to strengthen academic collaboration with FaIS, which includes student exchange programs at the semester level, short-term student exchanges, joint research projects, co-organizing academic seminars, and other related activities.
The program participation is divided into two main components: Arabic language activities between students and academic paper presentations between the staff of both institutions. FaIS hopes that this exchange program will be beneficial to both faculty and students from both universities and will help elevate academic relations between the institutions in the near future
