Faculty of Islamic Sciences Welcomes PERADABAN Delegation from Malaysia to Strengthen International Academic Collaboration
Today (December 29, 2025), the Faculty of Islamic Sciences (FaIS), Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Pattani Campus, welcomed a study visit delegation from Pertubuhan Peradaban Melayu Malaysia Kelantan (PERADABAN), Malaysia, at the Imam Al-Ghazali Conference Room (2nd Floor), Faculty of Islamic Sciences. The visit aimed to promote academic exchange and strengthen international scholarly collaboration. The delegation was received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Roflee Waehama, Dean of FaIS, together with Mr. Yahari Kaseng, Head of the Administrative Office.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Roflee Waehama delivered welcoming remarks and provided an overview of PSU, including FaIS's vision, missions, and academic programs. He highlighted the faculty’s academic structure, research development, and its commitment to producing quality graduates who are capable of contributing to multicultural societies at both regional and international levels.
The visit aimed to enhance long-standing international academic cooperation, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices in Islamic studies and academic administration, and further strengthen institutional networks. The delegation comprised approximately 80 participants, representing members of PERADABAN from various centers across Malaysia. Notably, FaIS and PERADABAN have maintained a long-standing academic partnership and have jointly organized several academic seminars and scholarly activities in the past. Therefore, this visit reaffirmed the strong relationship between the two institutions and marked an important step toward expanding concrete and sustainable academic collaboration in the future.
