Dean and Lecturers of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Participate in the International Arabic Language Conference ICTALL 2025 in Malaysia

On 14 October 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Roflee Waehama, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences (FaIS), Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus, together with administrators and lecturers, attended The 2nd International Conference on Teaching Arabic Language and Literature (ICTALL 2025) held at Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS), Perak, Malaysia, from 14–15 October 2025.









The opening ceremony was graced by Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Seri Haji Wan Zahidi bin Wan Teh, Mufti Negeri Perak, who presided over the ceremony, together with Prof. Dato’ Dr. Wan Sabri bin Wan Yusof, Vice Chancellor of Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS), Prof. Dr. Majdi Haji Ibrahim, Director of the Center for Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Qarni, Advisor for Educational Affairs, World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), along with USAS administrators and representatives from various countries.

The conference served as a platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise in Arabic language and literature education in the digital era, as well as promoting academic collaboration among educational institutions in the region.

Lecturers from FaIS also presented academic papers on diverse topics reflecting innovation in Arabic language teaching, literature, and educational technology in contemporary contexts. This participation represents an ongoing academic collaboration between FaIS and USAS, covering student exchanges, joint seminars, and future research cooperation.

The ICTALL 2025 conference will continue on 15 October 2025, featuring academic paper presentations by scholars from various institutions and a meeting to discuss future academic cooperation between FaIS and USAS, with the aim of strengthening sustainable collaboration in Arabic language and Islamic studies at the international level.
